About the Unit: The Texas Coastal Plains Unit covers
about a 100 mile radius around the Greater Houston area although we
have members all over the state and nation. Our members range in age
from young couples with children to great-grandparents. About a third
of our members are still actively working. We have a number of singles
who are quite comfortable with our group. Of the 75 rigs represented
there is about an even mix of trailers and motor homes.
We
feature 10 unit rallies a year, two dinners a month, and several
caravans a year. The monthly newsletter helps keep us all in touch. We
try to have our short rallies run from Friday evening to Sunday morning
so that those who are still working or have kids in school can
participate. Our members represent nearly every occupation and
interest group.
